Spare Parts Planner

About the role

The Spare Parts Planner is responsible for ensuring the right parts are available at the right time to minimise equipment downtime and support operational efficiency. You will develop and execute inventory strategies, forecast demand, and work closely with internal teams and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Create highly accurate demand forecasts for spare parts.
• Develop, monitor, and report monthly KPIs and metrics.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly delivery schedules for service counters and communicate any delays.
• Collaborate with operational teams to identify critical parts and set inventory priorities.
• Monitor stock levels, manage re‑ordering processes and avoid excess inventory.
• Evaluate supplier performance to ensure timely delivery and quality.
• Produce reports on inventory status, turnover rates and forecasting errors.
• Work with purchasing partners to ensure smooth supply‑chain execution.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives for planning processes.
• Act as liaison between internal teams and suppliers on procurement issues.
• Build business cases for spare‑parts recovery decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory management, spare‑parts planning or a similar role.
• Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
