Import & Strategic Procurement Specialist

About the role

Brenntag Israel is looking for an Import & Strategic Procurement Specialist to lead supplier sourcing, negotiate commercial agreements, and manage end‑to‑end import operations while controlling logistics costs.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and select local and international suppliers.
• Lead commercial negotiations to secure optimal pricing and terms.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Manage import processes from purchase order to final delivery.
• Coordinate with customs authorities, brokers, freight forwarders and logistics providers.
• Monitor shipments, delivery schedules and customs clearance activities.
• Control and monitor import and logistics costs, including freight, customs, warehousing and distribution.
• Maintain procurement and import documentation.
• Use SAP R/3 and other business systems for transaction processing.
• Prepare reports and perform data analysis using Excel.

Required profile

• Proven experience in import and strategic procurement.
• Strong background in sourcing and negotiating with local and international suppliers.
• Solid knowledge of import procedures, customs regulations and international logistics.
• Experience in cost control and cost analysis.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment and meet deadlines under pressure.
