Senior Financial Accountant

About the role

Bottomline is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join its Israel team. The role focuses on US GAAP financial reporting, local compliance, and payroll administration within a fast‑growing multinational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and Israeli regulations.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee Israel payroll processing, statutory filings, and employee payments.
• Handle VAT accounting, submissions, and compliance with Israeli tax authorities.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision‑making.
• Post journal entries, conduct account analyses, and manage intercompany billing and reconciliations.
• Coordinate local external audits and prepare supporting documentation.
• Liaise between internal IT and external Israeli providers for software localisation.
• Continuously evaluate processes and controls to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (CPA or equivalent) with proven US GAAP experience.
• In‑depth knowledge of Israel payroll processing and VAT regulations.
• Fluent in Hebrew and English, both spoken and written.
• Strong analytical attention to detail and ability to work independently or within a team.
