Senior Chip Design Engineer

About the role

Join NVIDIA's Switch Silicon team as a Senior Chip Design Engineer, working on cutting‑edge, high‑performance networking silicon. You will contribute to the design and verification of core units that enable the highest throughput and lowest latency in next‑generation switch chips.

Key responsibilities

• Develop core units within the Switch silicon as part of a design/verification team.
• Plan micro‑architecture and RTL verification environments for units and modules.
• Design RTL blocks according to architectural specifications, optimizing for power, area, and performance.
• Perform RTL synthesis, timing analysis, verification support, and post‑silicon turn‑on activities.
• Collaborate closely with Architecture, micro‑architecture, backend, and firmware teams.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience) with strong academic performance.
• At least 5 years of professional RTL design experience.
• Familiarity with network protocols and/or high‑performance computing and distributed calculations is a plus.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
