Principal Android Architect

About the role

Motorola Solutions is a global technology company focused on public‑safety communications. The Principal Android Architect will lead the design and development of Android software for public‑safety LTE/LMR devices. The role is based in Israel and reports to the Public‑Safety Android Devices team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, design, evaluate, and modify software systems in line with internal, customer and regulatory requirements.
• Define and maintain the Android software architecture, ensuring its integrity and alignment with product goals.

Required profile

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in system architecture and 5 years leading software development (cloud or embedded real‑time Android).
• Extensive experience with Android platform development.
• Proven technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong ability to produce technical documentation and present solutions.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Solid networking knowledge including network layers, TCP/IP and cellular technologies.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
