Optical Lab Technician

About the role

KLA is seeking an Optical Lab Technician to join its semiconductor manufacturing team. You will work in a clean‑room environment performing mechanical and optical assemblies, tests, and calibrations while ensuring strict quality compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, test, and calibrate optical components using documented procedures.
• Inspect, clean, and troubleshoot optical parts to meet high‑quality standards.
• Record and report test data in prescribed formats.
• Follow strict clean‑room protocols and quality processes.
• Collaborate with engineering and data‑science teams to support wafer and reticle production.

Required profile

• Practical engineering background in electronics, optics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum two years of relevant industry experience (preferred).
• Fine motor skills and ability to read mechanical schematic diagrams.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Required skills

• Optical assembly experience.
• Familiarity with optical test equipment such as optical power meters, spectrometers, and alignment cameras.
• Inspection, cleaning, and troubleshooting of optical components.
• Ability to work safely in a clean‑room environment.
