HPE Networking Presales Systems Engineer

About the role

HPE is looking for a customer-facing Presales Systems Engineer to support its growing HPE Networking business in Israel. The role is hybrid, with the expectation of working mainly from an HPE office and visiting customer sites about two days per week. You will partner with sales teams, channel partners and customers to design, position and demonstrate networking solutions across the HPE Networking portfolio, including Aruba and Juniper Networks.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with account managers and channel partners to identify customer needs and align technical solutions to business outcomes.
• Support opportunities across Israel as a trusted advisor and deliver presentations, workshops, demos and discovery conversations in Hebrew and English.
• Design architectures, bills of materials and proposals, and support proof-of-concept projects.
• Respond to the technical parts of customer requests such as RFIs, RFPs and RFQs, and articulate HPE Networking differentiation against competitors.
• Help grow the pipeline by identifying expansion, upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and support customer and partner enablement.

Required profile

• Experience in a presales, systems engineering, network consulting or customer-facing technical role.
• Strong background in networking infrastructure and ability to translate technical capabilities into business value.
• Fluency in Hebrew and English, with comfort working independently remotely while collaborating with virtual teams.
• Willingness to travel on site within the defined territory.
• Preferred: 3+ years of experience, a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology, and experience with Aruba and/or Juniper technologies.
• The role requires security clearance.

Required skills

• Preferred: hands-on routing protocols (IS-IS, OSPF, BGP, PIM) and MPLS traffic engineering (RSVP-TE, SR-TE, L3VPN, EVPN, VPLS).
• Preferred: familiarity with wireless LAN, campus switching, data center switching, NAC, security and cloud-based network management.
• Preferred: experience with channel partners and indirect sales models.
