HPE Networking Presales Systems Engineer

About the role

HPE is looking for a customer-facing Presales Systems Engineer to support its growing HPE Networking business in Israel. The role is hybrid, with the expectation of working mainly from an HPE office and visiting customer sites about two days per week. You will partner with sales teams, channel partners and customers to design, position and demonstrate networking solutions across the HPE Networking portfolio, including Aruba and Juniper Networks.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with account managers and channel partners to identify customer needs and align technical solutions to business outcomes.
• Design and position end-to-end networking solutions for campus, branch, data center, wireless, switching, NAC, security, routing and cloud-managed networking.
• Deliver presentations, technical workshops, whiteboarding sessions, demonstrations and discovery conversations in Hebrew and English.
• Support proof-of-concept projects and design architectures, bills of materials and proposals.
• Answer technical parts of customer requests such as RFIs, RFPs and RFQs, and articulate HPE's differentiation against competitors.
• Identify expansion, upsell and cross-sell opportunities and help grow the pipeline.
• Maintain relationships with customers, IT teams and decision-makers, and support partner enablement, training and demos.

Required profile

• Experience in a presales, systems engineering, network consulting or customer-facing technical role.
• Strong background in networking infrastructure and ability to translate technical capabilities into business value.
• Experience delivering customer presentations, demos and solution recommendations.
• Fluency in Hebrew and English, with confidence presenting and writing in both.
• Ability to work independently remotely while collaborating with virtual teams, and to travel on site within the territory.
• Preferred: 3+ years of experience, a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or IT, and experience with Aruba and/or Juniper technologies.
• The role requires security clearance.

Required skills

• Preferred: hands-on routing protocols (IS-IS, OSPF, BGP, PIM) and MPLS traffic engineering (RSVP-TE, SR-TE, L3VPN, EVPN, VPLS).
• Preferred: familiarity with wireless LAN, campus switching, data center switching, routing, NAC, security, AI-driven operations and cloud-based network management.
• Preferred: experience with channel partners, distributors or indirect sales models.
