Heavy Truck Driver

About the role

The Heavy Truck Driver will be based in Israel supporting the AFCAPV Program. Reporting to the Site Manager, the driver operates tractor‑trailer combinations, material handling equipment and other heavy machinery to facilitate deliveries and receipts for the DS Warehouse, Bottled Water and ICE Plant.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks, operate special loading equipment, and secure cargo using ropes, chains, binders and covers.
• Maintain accurate logs of working hours, vehicle service, and repair status in compliance with local regulations.
• Inspect vehicles before trips, ensure mechanical and safety equipment is functional, and report any defects or incidents.
• Read bills of lading, verify delivery instructions, obtain receipts or signatures, and collect payment when required.
• Couple and uncouple trailers, manage air and electrical connections, and operate fifth‑wheel locks and landing gear.
• Drive trucks over 3 tons, follow safe transport procedures, and navigate routes using maps.
• Assist personnel with packing, inventory goods, and remove debris from trailers after loading.

Required profile

• Valid commercial driver’s license for vehicles over 3 tons.
• Experience operating tractor‑trailer combinations and material handling equipment.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Physical capability to perform loading, unloading, and ladder inspections.
