Data Science & GenAI Team Leader

About the role

ONE datAI is seeking an experienced Data Science & GenAI Team Leader to head its data science group. The role blends hands‑on model development with people management, delivering high‑impact machine‑learning solutions for a variety of client industries.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of data scientists and analysts.
• Collaborate with clients and internal engineering teams to translate business challenges into modeling projects.
• Design and implement classical machine‑learning pipelines (predictive models, clustering, regression, etc.).
• Integrate generative AI and large‑language‑model capabilities with traditional ML approaches.
• Ensure technical quality, model validation, and production readiness of all deliverables.
• Own the end‑to‑end delivery lifecycle, from data preparation to deployment and monitoring.

Required profile

• Several years of hands‑on experience as a Data Scientist.
• Proven track record of building and deploying production‑grade ML models.
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders to define data‑driven solutions.
• Demonstrated leadership or management of data‑science teams.
• Hands‑on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.

Required skills

• Strong command of classical algorithms: XGBoost, Random Forest, gradient boosting, regression, clustering.
• Solid foundation in statistics, probability, and core ML theory.
• Proficiency in Python and the standard data‑science stack (pandas, scikit‑learn, NumPy).
• Feature engineering, model validation, and handling messy real‑world data.
• SQL for large‑scale structured data manipulation.
• Experience deploying models in production environments.
• Familiarity with Generative AI tools, LLM orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex), vector databases, embeddings, and RAG architectures.
