Controller – Finance Leadership Role

About the role

Profitian Finance is seeking an experienced Controller to own and streamline financial processes across the company. You will work closely with the CFO and business leaders, providing insight‑driven guidance in a fast‑moving startup environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end financial close process and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust financial processes and internal controls.
• Partner with the CFO and department heads to translate data into actionable insights.
• Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, banks, and other external stakeholders.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and ensure compliance with local regulations and tax requirements.

Required profile

• CPA qualification with Big 4 experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (Master’s degree is a plus).
• 5+ years of finance experience, including at least 2 years in a Controller or senior finance role.
• Strong understanding of IFRS/GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic, growth‑stage company.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Priority, or SAP.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities.
• Proficiency in budgeting and forecasting processes.
