Chief Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented and reliable Chief Accountant to join our team in Israel and take ownership of our accounting operations. The role ensures the accuracy and timeliness of statutory, group and tax reporting in line with applicable law and group procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the work of the Accounting Team and manage operational accounting processes in compliance with legal and tax regulations.
• Prepare statutory financial statements, tax reports and group reporting according to IFRS and the published reporting calendar.
• Present reports and analysis during balance‑sheet and financial review meetings.
• Ensure internal control compliance and support internal and external audits, including tax audits.
• Maintain relationships with banks, tax authorities and other state institutions.
• Identify, assess and monitor accounting and tax risks, and provide day‑to‑day advice to the department.
• Collaborate with Business Finance, Tax, Treasury, Billing and other functions.
• Participate in finance transformation, standardisation initiatives and country‑level group projects.

Required profile

• University degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of local accounting standards and IFRS.
• In‑depth understanding of local tax legislation.
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
• Organisational, problem‑solving, teamwork and critical‑thinking abilities.
