Software Engineer – Virtual Platforms

About the role

Annapurna Labs, an Amazon subsidiary, designs custom silicon that powers AWS cloud services. As a Virtual Platform Engineer you will create and maintain virtual platform environments that enable early software development, system‑level testing, and architectural exploration.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain virtual platform environments for software development and system‑level validation.
• Optimize complex hardware‑software interactions.
• Drive collaboration across development teams with a customer‑obsessed approach.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of computer architecture (CPUs, networking, protocols) and hardware‑software interaction.
• 5+ years of software development experience, preferably in C/C++.
• Solid knowledge of programming concepts such as OOP, OOD and data structures.

Required skills

• C/C++ programming.
• Object‑oriented programming and design.
• Data structures.
• Computer architecture knowledge.
• Experience with modeling languages such as SystemC (preferred).
• Experience with virtual platform tools.
• Verification experience using UVM (preferred).
• Knowledge of ARM architecture (preferred).
