Endpoint Engineer – TokenShift Platform

About the role

PointFive’s TokenShift is a lightweight CLI proxy that routes AI coding agents through a token‑optimising layer. As an Endpoint Engineer you will own the infrastructure that makes TokenShift work on developer machines at scale, from installation mechanics to compression strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, package, and deploy the TokenShift CLI across Windows, macOS, and Linux using MDM tools (Jamf, Intune, JumpCloud, Ansible).
• Instrument telemetry to monitor endpoint behavior, detect regressions, and improve coverage.
• Build and maintain per‑agent harnesses for Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot CLI, Codex, and future agents.
• Develop and extend compression rules for various command types while ensuring reversible, loss‑less operation.
• Maintain the robustness of the proxy layer so failures are silent and transparent to developers.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of Windows and Unix fundamentals (process model, shell I/O, permissions, IPC).
• Deep familiarity with MDM deployment patterns (Jamf, Intune, JumpCloud, Ansible).
• Proficiency in Go, the primary language of the TokenShift CLI.
• Experience building production‑grade CLI tools and handling edge‑case correctness.
• Ability to work across macOS and Linux platforms and understand their system‑level differences.
