Software Team Leader – Core R&D

About the role

Cato Networks is seeking a passionate Software Team Leader to join its R&D Core team. You will lead the design and development of highly scalable, high‑performance networking and security solutions that power the company’s global cloud platform.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of experienced software engineers, fostering ownership, excellence, and collaboration.
• Mentor and coach team members on both technical and professional growth.
• Design, implement, and test enterprise‑grade network security solutions.
• Conduct research and prototype new features and product ideas.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and integrate them into the product roadmap.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of hands‑on software development experience on large‑scale network or security solutions.
• At least 2 years of experience leading software engineering teams.
• Deep knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and operating environments.
• Proven ability to work with Linux/Unix‑based systems and low‑level performance tuning.
