About the role
Cisco Silicon One is looking for a Physical Design Technical Leader. The Physical Design team covers the full backend methodology and flow development from RTL to GDS, and leads the development of high-quality VLSI designs using the latest silicon technologies and processes.
Key responsibilities
- Handle all aspects of chip design, including definition, physical synthesis, place and route, optimization, timing closure and design floor planning.
- Work within the team at the heart of Cisco's software and ASIC design efforts.
Required profile
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in a relevant domain.
- VLSI design with extensive experience in backend design.
- Strong understanding of the place and route flow.
Required skills
- Preferred: deep understanding of physical construction and integration.
- Preferred: knowledge of physical design verification (LVS/DRC).
- Preferred: familiarity with physical design EDA tools such as Synopsys and Cadence.
- Preferred: great teamwork, self-learning skills and ability to work autonomously.
