Project Officer – Part‑time (50%)

About the role

The Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme in Palestine and Israel (WCC‑EAPPI) seeks a part‑time Project Officer to support the implementation of its EU‑funded activities in the West Bank. Working closely with the Local Programme Coordinator and the Middle East Programme Executive, you will help ensure that project work is delivered on schedule, within budget, and in line with the logical framework.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, executing, and monitoring activities across all three specific objectives.
• Maintain and update the project work plan, track progress against log‑frame indicators, and collect data for M&E.
• Organise logistics for workshops, advocacy campaigns, travel arrangements for staff and delegations.
• Keep comprehensive project files and ensure documentation meets EU compliance standards.
• Work with the Finance Officer to monitor expenditures, verify eligibility, and support procurement following EU guidelines.
• Draft inputs for interim and final narrative reports and prepare minutes and action points for meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Social Sciences, Project Management or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in project management, administration or coordination, preferably in an NGO or international organisation.
• Familiarity with EU‑funded projects, compliance and reporting requirements.
• Strong financial literacy and experience in budget tracking.
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Arabic.
