Import Team Leader – Global Trade Management

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an experienced Import Team Leader to join its Trade team in Rehovot. The role oversees all import activities, ensuring timely delivery of high‑tech components and managing the flow of goods from global suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all imports from suppliers using air and sea channels, coordinating with PATs, vendor schedules and logistics teams.
• Provide rapid solutions for urgent production deliveries, balancing transit time, cost and logistics provider options.
• Administer the freight and duty budget, identifying cost‑reduction opportunities.
• Launch cost‑reduction projects and establish communication infrastructures to keep shipment status up‑to‑date.
• Monitor market conditions (airline capacity, BCP, natural disasters) and propose actionable mitigation plans.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of relevant import/export experience and a relevant bachelor’s degree.
• Strong interpersonal skills, proactive attitude, and ability to work independently.
• Comfort with changing environments, problem‑solving mindset and capability to bridge gaps across functions.
