About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Software Engineer specialized in C/C++ to develop and optimize high‑end image processing software for semiconductor equipment. The role involves designing, prototyping, and integrating massive software components while ensuring performance at multi‑GBps data rates.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate software components for next‑generation image processing front‑end systems.
• Analyze, optimize, and improve existing software, algorithm, and hardware modules.
• Develop optimized code for specific image processing algorithms and advise on performance‑focused development methodologies.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of C++ development experience.
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Strong software architecture, system analysis, problem‑solving, and debugging skills.
