Director of Global Procurement

About the role

We are seeking a strategic, execution‑oriented Director of Global Procurement to lead worldwide sourcing of direct and indirect goods and services. Reporting across Engineering, IT, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing and Operations, you will transform procurement into a strategic partner that drives value, resilience and innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead global strategic sourcing for hardware, software, cloud and indirect categories, owning negotiations, contracts and long‑term supplier relationships.
• Manage hardware (electronics, components, EMS) and software (SaaS, enterprise agreements, cloud infrastructure) sourcing programs.
• Develop category‑management strategies aligned with growth, scalability and operational continuity, partnering early with R&D/Engineering on new product introductions.
• Drive Procure‑to‑Pay excellence and governance through advanced ERP systems, leveraging automation and AI to streamline low‑value purchases.
• Establish a domain‑expert operating model with subject‑matter experts for each category (IT, Marketing, R&D, HR) to create value across the organization.
• Lead supplier performance management, quarterly business reviews, cost‑reduction and value‑engineering initiatives, and total cost of ownership planning.
• Identify and mitigate global supply‑chain risks, creating scalable Business Continuity Plans.
• Build cross‑functional coalitions with Finance, Compliance, budget owners and suppliers to orchestrate complex negotiations.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in global procurement or strategic sourcing within a technology‑focused environment.
• Demonstrated ability to influence multi‑disciplinary stakeholders and drive transformation initiatives.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering cost savings and value creation.
• Experience managing both direct (hardware, software) and indirect spend categories.
• Excellent negotiation, contract management and supplier relationship skills.
