Controller

About the role

We are seeking a motivated, high‑potential Controller to own the company’s books and drive financial process improvements. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will work across functions in a fast‑growing, mission‑driven environment focused on vision‑saving robotic surgery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all accounting activities, including monthly, quarterly and annual closings under US GAAP.
• Prepare the annual budget, ongoing forecasts, and track monthly/quarterly budget performance.
• Partner with the CFO on financial strategy, long‑term modelling and cash‑flow planning.
• Identify and implement enhancements to financial processes, internal controls and workflows.
• Collaborate with R&D, Operations and management to resolve discrepancies and support project financial needs.
• Oversee tax reporting, annual filings and statutory compliance, coordinating with external auditors.
• Supervise payroll and ensure accurate accounting of employee benefits and social provisions.
• Provide ad‑hoc financial analysis and custom reports for executive decision‑making.

Required profile

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a BA in Economics, Accounting or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller.
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of US GAAP; experience with public companies or US‑reporting entities is a plus.
• High proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across functions.
