STEAM Instructor & Hebrew Tutor (Part‑Time, Temporary)

About the role

The Jerusalem American International School seeks a dynamic educator to deliver an inquiry‑based STEAM curriculum to grades 2‑9 and to lead a FIRST FLL robotics competition team. The same individual will also provide Hebrew tutoring for upper‑grade students and introductory Hebrew lessons for younger learners.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver STEAM lessons that promote critical thinking, problem‑solving and collaboration.
• Plan, coach and supervise the FIRST FLL robotics program and competition preparation.
• Provide Hebrew tutoring for grades 5‑9, including advanced language support and basic literacy for non‑native speakers.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse academic, emotional and language needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents and school leadership to enhance the learning community.
• Promote digital citizenship and ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines.

Required profile

• Fluent Hebrew speaker with experience teaching Hebrew at upper‑grade levels.
• Demonstrated ability to teach STEAM subjects and manage a robotics team.
• Strong classroom management skills and capacity to support learners with varying English proficiency.
• Commitment to the school’s inclusive, student‑centered philosophy.
