Splunk Professional Services Consultant – Security

About the role

The Splunk Professional Services Consultant – Security will lead technical leadership and innovation within Cisco’s Splunk security ecosystem. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will guide customers through complex security initiatives, delivering tailored SIEM, SOAR and AI‑driven security operations solutions at regional and global scale.

Key responsibilities

• Provide authoritative guidance on Splunk security domains, including SIEM, SOAR and observability integrations.
• Lead multi‑functional security projects, partnering with CISO and IT leadership to design and implement custom Splunk architectures.
• Apply AI and automation tools to optimize security operations, automate incident response and improve detection efficacy.
• Build advanced simulation environments and deliver expert support for complex security issues.
• Mentor technical teams on PDIO methodologies and contribute to product direction through customer feedback.

Required profile

• University degree with 6‑8 years of relevant experience.
• Expert‑level Splunk certification (e.g., Splunk Certified Architect or Consultant) or equivalent security certification.
• Proven experience leading sophisticated consulting or engineering projects in the security space.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience representing technical expertise at industry events.
