Software Engineer – Cellular Protocol & RF Analysis

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our specialized R&D team in Tel Aviv. The role focuses on cellular protocol analysis, RF measurements and the development of LTE/5G communication intelligence tools for defense‑grade electronic warfare systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform protocol and RF analysis of LTE/5G cellular signals, including registration, mobility and packet captures.
• Develop and maintain communication intelligence software using C, C++, Python and Bash on Linux.
• Analyze signaling flows, protocol‑stack behavior and network performance metrics such as handover, throughput and latency.
• Operate advanced cellular test equipment, simulators and protocol analyzers, and automate lab and production processes.
• Troubleshoot complex networking issues involving TCP/IP, routing, sockets and packet inspection using Linux tools.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional experience with cellular communication protocols.
• Deep knowledge of LTE and 5G protocol stacks, signaling flows and RF analysis.
• Hands‑on experience with cellular test equipment, base‑station simulators or protocol analyzers.
• Strong software development background in C, C++ and Python within a Linux environment.
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) and Linux networking utilities.
