Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Protego is building AI‑powered tools to prevent and overturn denied medical insurance claims. We are looking for a senior software engineer to lead the development of our SaaS healthcare platform, working on backend services, cloud infrastructure, and AI‑driven features.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable SaaS solutions for the claims‑recovery platform.
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python.
• Drive AI integrations, including large language model (LLM) workflows, and oversee data engineering pipelines.
• Collaborate with product, design, and stakeholder teams to deliver user‑focused features.
• Ensure cloud infrastructure on AWS is reliable, secure, and cost‑effective.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 5 years focused on Python.
• Proven expertise in SaaS product architecture and cloud solutions.
• Strong background in designing databases and managing data flows.
• Experience working in fast‑growing, high‑impact environments.
