Senior Software Engineer - Edge

About the role

Lumana is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to own and evolve the core edge platform that powers its AI video security solution. You will work on a hybrid edge‑cloud architecture that runs on diverse hardware, delivering low‑latency video, security, and AI capabilities directly on devices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the edge platform across multiple hardware targets.
• Implement video management features such as streaming, recording, and real‑time AI processing.
• Optimize systems for low‑latency, high‑performance workloads at the edge.
• Build secure communication pipelines between edge devices and cloud services.
• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to deploy and fine‑tune models on‑device.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning across the full stack.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in systems or performance‑critical applications.
• Strong track record of delivering reliable software in fast‑moving startup environments.
• Passion for ownership and building solutions that customers depend on daily.

Required skills

• Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
• Experience with video streaming, recording, and real‑time AI processing.
• Knowledge of edge computing, distributed systems, and low‑latency optimization.
• Ability to design secure communication between edge devices and cloud platforms.
