Senior Product Technologist

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Product Technologist to serve as the technological focal point for PDC’s material metrology platforms. In this role you will define the technology roadmap and product requirements for a best‑in‑class tool, based on a deep understanding of customer processes and high‑value problems. You will lead hands‑on experiments and analysis both in‑house and at customer sites and collaborate closely with Physics, Systems, Algorithms and Software teams to deliver metrology‑grade performance and accelerate adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the technology roadmap and product specifications for material metrology equipment.
• Design and execute experimental campaigns on‑site and in‑lab to validate performance against customer needs.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams (Physics, Systems, Algorithms, Software) to integrate solutions and drive product improvements.
• Communicate results and recommendations to customers and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• 10+ years of R&D experience in semiconductor‑related projects with a strong experimental record.
• MSc or PhD in Physics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline from a leading institute.
• Deep knowledge of semiconductor industry trends, technology and customer landscape.
• Experience interacting directly with customers and presenting technical solutions.

• X‑ray techniques for material analysis.
• Microscopy (including scanning electron microscopy – SEM).
• Spectroscopy methods.
• Optical system design.
