Senior C++ Software Engineer

About the role

WorldQuant’s research platform team builds the software that powers large‑scale quantitative research and portfolio production. The group is embarking on a multi‑year effort to create a powerful, scalable, and efficient platform that will support the firm’s growth for the next decade.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy high‑performance C++ applications on Linux for quantitative research and production trading.
• Collaborate with researchers, portfolio managers and other engineers to create firm‑wide tools and platforms.
• Build and maintain large‑scale, distributed systems that handle massive data and computation workloads.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of production‑quality C++ development on Linux.
• Strong proficiency in Python and Linux system programming.
• Experience designing large‑scale distributed systems and applying advanced data structures, algorithms and concurrency patterns.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently with minimal direction and fluent in English.
