Senior C++ Engineer – Qt Desktop Applications

About the role

Siemens EDA is seeking a Senior C++ Engineer with strong Qt expertise to enhance its graphical desktop applications used in electronic design automation. You will work in a multi‑functional environment, delivering high‑performance features while collaborating across teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate new features into the desktop GUI application.
• Write fast, maintainable, well‑documented C++ code using the Qt framework.
• Improve product quality, performance, and reliability through testing and code reviews.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define and implement enhancements.
• Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and software trends.
• Contribute innovative ideas to drive product evolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional C/C++ development experience.
• Proven experience with the Qt framework for desktop applications.
• Hands‑on experience developing on both Windows and Linux platforms.
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
• Strong communication skills in English and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Motivated, creative, and responsible with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Background in electronics or PCB manufacturing is a plus.
