Quality Control Inspector

About the role

BIRD Aerosystems is looking for a meticulous Mechanical Quality Control Inspector to join its Quality team. You will ensure that mechanical parts, assemblies, and finished products meet engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements throughout production.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, document, and report non‑conformances, defects, and deviations according to quality procedures.
• Perform surface‑finish inspections using an optical microscope.
• Verify incoming manufacturing documentation such as Certificates of Conformance, Certificates of Testing, and dimensional inspection reports.
• Conduct precision measurements of parts with height gauges, calipers, micrometers, plug/thread gauges, and other measuring equipment.
• Update quality data in computerized systems, generate inspection reports, and maintain compliance with work plans and quality standards.

Required profile

• Practical Mechanical Engineer degree or 2–3 years of hands‑on experience as a Mechanical QC Inspector in machining/CNC environments.
• Full proficiency in Hebrew (reading, writing, speaking) and ability to understand technical English.
• Strong attention to detail, high accountability, and ability to work under pressure both independently and in a team.

Required skills

• Reading and interpreting complex mechanical drawings, including GD&T symbols.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools (height gauges, calipers, micrometers, plug/thread gauges).
• Experience with optical microscopes for surface inspection.
• Familiarity with defense/aerospace quality standards and regulations.
• Computer literacy; experience with Priority ERP software is highly desirable.
