Production Planning Manager

About the role

West is seeking a Production Planning Manager to lead all planning activities for its Illinois operations and subcontractor sites. This hybrid position combines strategic oversight of supply‑chain KPIs with day‑to‑day coordination of export shipments and customer issue resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enforce policies and procedures for production operations.
• Monitor and improve key supply‑chain metrics such as OTIF, OTD and subcontractor performance.
• Maintain a long‑term capacity model and generate regular planning and production reports.
• Serve as the primary supply‑chain contact for customer complaints and NPI/ECO issues.
• Lead quarterly business reviews with suppliers and coordinate with logistics providers.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in medical‑device, pharmaceutical, or related manufacturing environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Economics or a related field; MBA is a plus.
• Proven ability to work under pressure, manage projects in a matrix structure, and communicate effectively in English.
• Willingness to travel up to 10 % of the time (≈26 business days per year).
