Product Designer, AI Builder

About the role

Ecoplant is looking for a Product Designer who also acts as a builder, shaping complex industrial software where AI is embedded in the workflow. You will own end‑to‑end experiences on the Ecoplant platform, turning data‑heavy, expert‑user interfaces into clear, actionable journeys.

Key responsibilities

• Design and ship complete product experiences, from research and problem framing to high‑fidelity UI and developer handoff.
• Translate complex industrial systems into intuitive user flows that help experts work faster without confusing newcomers.
• Define how AI is used in the product, ensuring users can delegate tasks, understand outcomes, and trust the system.
• Prototype interactions in code and with AI tools to validate concepts early.
• Maintain and extend the design system, keeping the product language consistent as it scales.
• Build AI‑driven assets (agents, orchestrations) that accelerate research, spec writing, and design‑system upkeep.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers from concept through release.

Required profile

• 4+ years of product design experience, preferably in data‑intensive or industrial software.
• Strong ability to simplify complex information and create efficient user journeys.
• Experience working in cross‑functional teams and communicating design decisions clearly.
• Interest in AI‑enabled design processes and willingness to experiment with code‑based prototypes.
