Planner – Materials & Operations

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering, is seeking analytical and motivated professionals to join its planning team in Rehovot, Israel. As a Planner you will ensure seamless alignment between supply chain, production, and business objectives, supporting the delivery of cutting‑edge semiconductor equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, plan and control an end‑to‑end operational plan that meets business needs while achieving operational excellence targets.
• Ensure tools are shipped in the required configuration by accurate forecasting and managing customer non‑standard requests (NSRs).
• Work cross‑functionally with local and global teams across business, R&D, supply chain and manufacturing.
• Integrate execution activities (manufacturing, material, R&D) while optimizing team resources.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) processes from R&D to production and oversee transitions between old and new products.
• Improve line performance, solve cost issues, meet inventory targets and optimize clean‑room space.
• Use SAP and other internal information systems to ensure material responsiveness to production schedules and continuously improve performance metrics.

Required profile

• BSc in Industrial Engineering (mandatory).
• 0–2 years of experience in planning or operational roles (advantageous).
• Excellent English communication skills (speaking, reading, writing).
• Strong analytical abilities, fast thinking and customer orientation.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks and manage timelines independently.
• Good verbal presentation skills for management forums.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and project‑management experience are a plus.
