Mechanical Design Engineer – Flight Test Installations

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design and installation of flight‑test equipment on test aircraft within our Aviation Division’s Flight Operations & Flight Test Center. The role is highly hands‑on, requiring rapid development of practical solutions under tight schedules in a multidisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design of flight‑test equipment installations, from single sensors to complex instrumentation packages.
• Integrate installations onto test aircraft, ensuring compliance with safety and performance requirements.
• Provide engineering support during flight‑test campaigns, delivering creative solutions to unexpected changes.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering, flight‑test, and technical support teams.
• Address a wide range of engineering and operational challenges throughout the flight‑test process.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering (mandatory).
• Experience in mechanical design of aircraft structures or installations (advantage).
• Previous service in the Israeli Air Force (advantage).
• Proficiency with NX or CATIA (advantage).
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and capacity to work effectively under tight deadlines.
