Materials Handler I – Forklift Operator

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Materials Handler I to join our warehouse team. In this position you will store, move, and handle materials safely while supporting daily inbound and outbound operations.

Key responsibilities

• Stage product for use and maintain inventory controls.
• Operate forklifts to pick, replenish, shuttle, and load/unload orders.
• Feed production lines and assist with shipping/receiving tasks.
• Count, weigh, and record units or materials as required.
• Follow all safety procedures, wear protective gear, and ensure a safe work environment.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors and follow directions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; minimum age 18.
• Previous material handling experience.
• Forklift certification (must obtain within 90 days if not already certified).
• Ability to perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, ratios, percentages).
• Capability to lift and support up to 90 lb and stand for prolonged periods.

Required skills

• Forklift operation and powered industrial truck certification.
• Experience with stand‑up forklifts and extended forks.
• Inventory control and material handling equipment usage.
