Embedded Software Team Leader

About the role

As the Embedded Software Team Leader you will head a key component of Ceva's NPU AI software stack, bridging the host SDK, runtime, APIs and drivers with the NPU firmware. You will report to the AI Software SDK Senior Team Leader and guide a creative team to deliver high‑performance embedded solutions for LLM, generative AI and neural network workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Embedded Software engineering team, ensuring high performance and productivity.
• Own design, development and implementation of your stack component, aligned with the AI Software SDK technical strategy, architecture and roadmap.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional groups (hardware, NPU, architects, other developer teams) to integrate solutions.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship and conduct performance reviews for team members.
• Ensure project timelines, deliverables and automated CI/release processes are met.
• Support professional development and foster a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a Software Team Leader.
• At least 5 years hands‑on software engineering with strong C/C++ in embedded/firmware domains (drivers, RTOS).
• Proven experience developing complex embedded software systems.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• C/C++ programming.
• Embedded firmware development.
• Device drivers and RTOS experience.
• Software architecture and CI/CD pipelines.
• Firmware and middleware integration.
• Familiarity with AI compiler/runtime frameworks (TVM, MLIR, IREE).
• Knowledge of ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, ONNX, TFLite).
