Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Technician – Data Center

About the role

Amazon is seeking an energetic, detail‑oriented Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Technician to join the Data Center Engineering Operations team in Tel Aviv. The role supports the physical infrastructure of Amazon Web Services, ensuring that mechanical, electrical and fire/life‑safety systems operate at 100 % availability while delivering first‑class service to internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and maintain all electrical and mechanical equipment in the data centre, including generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, AHUs, chillers, cooling towers, pumps and building automation systems.
• Perform root‑cause analysis and troubleshooting of facility‑level and rack‑level events to meet internal SLA targets.
• Take daily operational readings, record data in the CMMS and manage work orders.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and standards while performing tasks.
• Work rotating shifts to provide 24 × 7 coverage.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of hands‑on electrical or mechanical experience.
• Ability to work rotating shifts in a data‑center environment.
• Preferred: experience managing critical facilities, knowledge of HVAC, chillers, fan controls, and electrical theory; journeyman licence is a plus.
