Data Center Security Manager

About the role

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Data Center Security Manager to oversee day‑to‑day physical security operations for its data center sites in Israel. Reporting to the Cluster Security Manager, you will be the primary security contact on‑site, ensuring the security posture aligns with AWS standards and local procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly and calmly to security incidents, following guidance from Cluster or Regional Security Managers.
• Support and direct the contracted security guard force, providing guidance based on Physical Security Standards and SOPs.
• Monitor and investigate alarms, CCTV footage, and access‑control systems, reporting unusual events to the Cluster Manager.
• Coordinate with the Security Operations Center during incidents and maintain clear communication.
• Develop, refine, and document security procedures, processes, and workflows using data‑driven metrics.
• Conduct regular security inspections, audits, and investigations across data‑center operational processes.
• Manage badge issuance and access‑control administration.
• Be on‑call for out‑of‑hours emergency support, both remotely and on‑site.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing physical security in a data‑center or similar high‑security environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and make swift decisions during incidents.
• Willingness to be on‑call for nights and weekends.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external contractors.
