Data Center Project Manager – Critical Projects Implementation

About the role

Amazon is seeking a Data Center Project Manager to lead and deliver critical infrastructure projects across its data centers. You will oversee electrical, mechanical, fire detection and building automation improvements, ensuring projects align with Amazon’s strategy and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Own project scope, timeline, and budget for modifications to existing data‑center infrastructure.
• Manage initiatives that increase data‑center resiliency.
• Review and validate electrical designs and construction drawings.
• Create RFPs, capital requests, and commissioning plans.
• Record and report key performance metrics to stakeholders.
• Provide operational support, including procedure reviews and maintenance initiatives.
• Lead troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for equipment or electrical failures.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure high‑quality project turnover.
• Travel across the EMEA region to support on‑site projects.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural systems in data‑center environments.
• Proven ability to identify and implement innovative solutions to operational challenges.
• Experience working independently and collaboratively across multiple stakeholder teams.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
