Controller

About the role

Riverside, a fast‑growing SaaS company that enables remote podcast and video interview recording, is looking for a Controller to join its finance team. You will own the full accounting cycle across multiple subsidiaries and help shape the financial infrastructure of a high‑growth tech business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Own accounting activities for multiple subsidiaries, from day‑to‑day operations through closing and reporting.
• Build and improve accounting processes, controls and workflows for a multi‑entity environment.
• Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors, managing communication and ensuring smooth audit and compliance.
• Support intercompany transactions and consolidations across entities.
• Identify automation and efficiency opportunities to drive operational excellence.
• Maintain alignment with US GAAP standards across all accounting areas.

Required profile

• Certified CPA with a degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 1‑2 years of experience as an Assistant Controller or similar role, following an internship at a Big 4 firm.
• Hands‑on experience with full monthly close processes.
• Experience working in a multi‑entity environment.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP.
• Highly detail‑oriented, proactive and strong sense of ownership.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Experience in a startup or high‑growth tech company.
• Familiarity with automation tools or AI‑based workflows.

• NetSuite (hands‑on experience preferred)
