Chief Architect

About the role

The Chief Architect at NiCE Actimize is responsible for defining and owning the technical vision that unifies a broad portfolio of financial‑services products. This hands‑on leadership position sits at the intersection of deep technical authority and enterprise strategy, guiding architecture decisions across on‑premise, private‑cloud, public‑cloud, and SaaS deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Define a multi‑year target architecture for the entire product suite, balancing product autonomy with shared platform leverage.
• Drive platform and shared‑services strategy (identity, data, integration, observability, deployment tooling) to reduce fragmentation.
• Translate business and product strategy into technical roadmaps and advise the executive team on build‑vs‑buy, modernization, and technology bets.
• Design abstractions and packaging models that enable reliable operation across heterogeneous environments, including tenancy, configuration management, and release cadence.
• Embed security, privacy, and regulatory compliance into the architecture, addressing data protection, auditability, encryption, and regional residency requirements.
• Establish non‑functional requirements and guardrails for availability, disaster recovery, transactional integrity, performance, and observability.
• Run an architecture governance function, maintaining standards, decision records, review processes, and a technology radar.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading architecture for complex, mission‑critical software platforms, preferably in financial services.
• Strong ability to influence senior leadership and act as the final technical authority on cross‑product decisions.
• Excellent judgment in balancing product autonomy with shared‑service efficiency.
• Track record of establishing governance processes that enable rapid delivery without sacrificing quality.
