Bookkeeper

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Bookkeeper to join Buildots’ finance team. The role supports the day‑to‑day financial operations of our US and Canadian entities, ensuring accurate records, timely collections and smooth month‑end close. You will work in a fast‑growing, AI‑driven construction technology company.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Receivable, issue invoices in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Track and update customer project billing status and ensure timely collections.
• Process vendor invoices and manage Accounts Payable via Dokka and Mesh.
• Perform daily bank and credit‑card reconciliation.
• Process employee expense reports via Expensify.
• Reconcile employee accounts, covering expense reimbursements and leave adjustments.
• Support full monthly end‑close processes, including accrued expenses, prepaid items and fixed assets.
• Perform intercompany reconciliations.
• Assist with annual audit processes and external reporting.
• Prepare ad‑hoc working papers and financial analysis.
• Contribute to improving and scaling financial processes as the company grows.

Required profile

• Certified Bookkeeper (AIPB or equivalent) – advantage.
• 5+ years of bookkeeping experience in a hi‑tech or multinational company.
• Experience with foreign entities and multi‑entity bookkeeping.
• Familiarity with US and/or Canadian GAAP – advantage.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Experience with NetSuite – advantage.
• Experience with Mesh and Expensify – advantage.
