Backend Engineer

About the role

Coralogix is looking for a Backend Engineer to join its Core Data Pipeline team. You will design, build, and operate a high‑throughput, real‑time telemetry processing engine that handles billions of events per second. The role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving low‑latency, distributed‑system challenges at massive scale.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the central data processing pipeline for logs, metrics, traces, and security events.
• Implement real‑time stream processing for data transformation and enrichment.
• Optimize throughput, memory usage, and latency across distributed clusters.
• Own feature lifecycles from architecture through production monitoring and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration with observability services.

Required profile

• 4+ years of software development experience, primarily with Scala or another JVM language.
• Strong background in scalable and distributed system design.
• Hands‑on experience with data streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka, Spark Streaming, Kafka Streams, or Apache Flink.
• Proficiency in data modeling for large‑scale distributed datasets.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
