AI Data Engineer – Build Semantic Layer & Conversational Agents

About the role

We are looking for an AI Data Engineer to own the semantic and AI‑native surface of our Snowflake platform. You will build and govern the semantic layer that defines metric meanings, create conversational Cortex agents, and ensure the data infrastructure scales reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain the Snowflake semantic layer as a single source of truth for metrics.
• Develop and deploy conversational AI agents using Cortex Analyst and Cortex Search, and monitor their accuracy and safety.
• Co‑lead the Analytics guild’s technical track, set SQL and modeling standards, and conduct code reviews.
• Optimize and scale the dbt/Airflow/Airbyte/Snowflake stack, including warehouse sizing and medallion architecture.
• Collaborate with GTM, Finance, Customer Success and Product teams to translate business questions into governed data assets.

Required profile

• Strong background in data engineering and analytics governance.
• Experience building semantic models and working with LLM‑based tooling.
• Ability to lead technical communities and drive best‑practice adoption.
