Turbine Mechanic

About the role

GE Vernova’s FieldCore team is seeking experienced Turbine Mechanics to join its global field services operation based in Israel. You will work on steam and gas turbines used in power generation, ensuring safe installation, maintenance, and repair while traveling to customer sites worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Dismantle, assemble, move, and align heavy rotating machinery using hoists, cranes, chain falls and precision tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings and technical documentation to define correct work procedures.
• Perform material and machine inspections with micrometers, calipers, protractors and torque wrenches.
• Execute machining and welding operations to fabricate parts for lab and shop training equipment.
• Manage shipping, receiving, inventory, and control of tools, equipment and supplies for turbine projects.
• Conduct mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs as required.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with heavy rotating equipment in power‑generation environments.
• Ability to work safely in field conditions and collaborate with supervisors, EHS personnel and operations teams.
• Willingness to travel internationally and adapt to varied work sites.
