TechOps Engineer – Automation & AI

About the role

Wenrix is a fast‑growing travel‑tech SaaS company that powers online travel agencies and travel management firms with AI‑driven solutions. The TechOps Engineer will act as the technical bridge between Operations, Product and R&D, driving automation, AI tooling and incident resolution across live environments.

Key responsibilities

• Dive deep into complex technical problems in production, analysing system behaviour, data flows and configurations to deliver fast, accurate resolutions.
• Build and maintain internal automation tools, workflows and dashboards that replace manual processes and boost operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with GDS specialists, solution architects, product and R&D teams to translate operational needs into engineering solutions.
• Develop AI‑powered tooling to automate repetitive tasks, surface anomalies and accelerate investigation workflows.
• Identify patterns in operational data and proactively create scalable technical solutions before issues recur.
• Manage long‑term projects and ensure timely delivery.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in technical operations, backend or a similar engineering role.
• Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript with a track record of building automation and internal tooling from scratch.
• Strong fundamentals in SQL, log analysis, API debugging and system administration.
• Hands‑on experience with AI tools and LLM‑based workflows.
• Investigative mindset capable of navigating ambiguous problems across systems and data independently.
• Familiarity with GDS web services such as Sabre or Amadeus; background in travel‑tech or airline/booking systems is a plus.
• Experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS, is a significant advantage.
