Systems Engineer

About the role

The Systems Engineer is based in Modiin, Israel. The role is accountable for designing, defining and implementing system requirements for complex customer systems and products, and for preparing studies and researching existing systems before moving to manufacturing for new product introductions.

Key responsibilities

• Define system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility, and coordinate subsystem design and system integration.
• Identify and resolve program deficiencies, and act as the main Project Development Engineer.
• Develop and maintain the project schedule, prepare and maintain Engineering NRE estimates, and develop product specifications where applicable.
• Interface with customers on product development calls and meetings, guide them through complex system software and applications, and acknowledge their inquiries.
• Finalize approved vendor lists and design components that are unavailable, and define pre-production build logistics and deployment schedules.
• Develop and approve test plans and test reports, and build mini applications to demonstrate feasibility, often requiring rapid prototyping.
• Provide technical assistance for sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation and maintenance, and give technical direction on industry regulations and best practices.
• Ensure ISO process conformance and execute functional processes or technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience and training.
• One year of industry experience preferred.
• Demonstrated project management skills.
• Understanding of Flex functional standards, policies and procedures, and awareness of the functional impact on work processes.

• Ability to use telephones, data entry and office software such as word processors, spreadsheets and presentation packages.
