System Software Engineer – Networking Test Automation

About the role

NVIDIA's Networking System Product Engineering group is seeking a System Software Engineer to design and develop automated tests for next‑generation networking switches and adapters. You will work closely with hardware, ASIC, and software teams to ensure high‑quality, reliable products reach customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement automated test suites for networking switches and adapters.
• Collaborate with HW, ASIC, and SW engineering teams to achieve high‑coverage, reliable testing.
• Participate in design‑for‑test (DFT) activities and validation of next‑generation network products.
• Define and develop tests from early development stages through final production testing.
• Use test frameworks to debug and resolve production‑process issues.
• Drive multiple projects to timely completion under schedule pressure.
• Support and maintain existing test code, including deployments, patches, and maintenance for production lines.
• Perform verification and validation of both hardware and software components.
• Troubleshoot and optimize testing procedures for efficiency.

Required profile

• BSc/MSc or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of software development and design experience.
• 3+ years of proven experience with Python or a similar programming platform.
• Strong knowledge of version‑control systems, preferably Git.
• Experience developing on Linux‑based environments.
• Background in software/hardware product integration.
• Excellent communication skills and hands‑on experience collaborating with global teams.
• Strong teamwork and cross‑functional collaboration abilities.
