System Software Engineer

About the role

NVIDIA Networking System Product Engineering is seeking a System Software Engineer to design and develop automated tests for networking switches and adapters. You will work closely with hardware, ASIC, and software teams to ensure high‑availability, reliable production testing for next‑generation network products.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement automated test suites for switches, adapters, and related hardware.
• Collaborate with HW, ASIC, and SW engineering groups to achieve high‑coverage, reliable testing.
• Define test strategies from early development through final system validation.
• Use test frameworks to identify, debug, and resolve production issues.
• Drive multiple projects to timely completion under schedule pressure.
• Maintain and fix existing test code, supporting production line deployments, patches, and maintenance.
• Perform verification and validation of both hardware and software components.
• Optimize and streamline testing procedures for efficiency.

Required profile

• BSc/MSc or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of software development and design experience.
• 3+ years of proven Python development experience.
• Strong knowledge of version‑control systems, preferably Git.
• Linux‑based development experience.
• Hands‑on experience integrating software and hardware products.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with global, cross‑functional teams.
