Supply Chain Analyst / Buyer

About the role

Edwards Lifesciences is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst / Buyer to plan and execute procurement activities that support customer demand and new product introductions. The role combines strategic sourcing, cost‑reduction initiatives, and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure timely delivery of high‑quality materials.

Key responsibilities

• Develop long‑term procurement strategies, negotiate prices and delivery terms, and monitor purchasing price variance (PPV).
• Place purchase orders, expedite shipments, and manage material flow from receiving to production stores.
• Partner with suppliers to guarantee specifications, resolve non‑conforming material issues, and address capacity constraints.
• Analyze vendor‑managed inventory (VMI) levels and communicate future requirements to suppliers.
• Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings and monthly vendor‑management sessions to address quality concerns.
• Support capital procurement of equipment/assets and maintain gross inventory targets.
• Identify and execute cost‑reduction and cycle‑time improvement initiatives.
• Update material requirements planning (MRP) parameters in the manufacturing ERP system.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in a startup or technology environment.
• Proven end‑to‑end procurement management, including RFQs, supplier selection, order issuance, delivery tracking, and invoice processing.
• Experience negotiating with both local and international suppliers.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with AI‑enabled tools is a plus.
